Downloading Windows Live Messenger

1. From the VillAge homepage, select communication software
   
2. Select Windows Live Messenger
   
3. Select Download and Sign Up to MSN
   
4. Click the link at the top of the thread to download MSN
   
5. You will be redirected to a webpage where you can download Messenger
   
6. Click the Download Messenger button
   
7. A download will begin
   
8. Once the previous download has completed, run/click the download
   
9. This will open up the MSN installer
   
10. When the installer is open, you will be asked if you want to install all Windows Live Essentials or choose which ones you wish to install, in this case we will only choose the Messenger
    
11. Select "Choose the programs you want to install"
    
12. Untick all of the programs a part from Messenger
    
13. Click Install
    
14. Messenger will then be installed onto your computer, when this is complete simply run Windows Live Messenger

Creating an Account
You can log into MSN with an email address, either a hotmail or a live address (E.g. villageexample@hotmail.com would be a valid email log in or if you have a different email then you can sign up using that)
If you do not have one of these emails you can sign up using the following steps

1. Run the windows live messenger program
   
2. Click the sign up link
   
3. You will be redirected to a webpage form which allows you to create an email address and account
   
4. If you already have an email address, enter the email address into the field "use you email address"
   
5. If you do not have an email address, click "get a windows live email address"
   
6. Enter a windows live ID which will be your email and username which you will need for people to add you and to also sign in
   
7. Complete the rest of the form as appropriate
   
8. Click I accept and you account will be created and you can use the email address to sign into Windows Live Messenger!
